#muslimahboss: the wanderer

Monday, September 04, 2017

"I am not really good with introducing myself, but if I had to define myself with one word, it would be 'wanderer.' I love traveling and discovering other cultures, especially with my husband who is also a travel enthusiast.

Life is not always easy when one tries to reach their goals, but I believe that with Allah's help, everything is possible.

As a literary mind, I love reading and writing about everything and anything that crosses my mind and touches my heart. I am not a girl to have a dozen of friends, precisely I can count my friends on the fingers of my right hand.

I always prefer quality over quantity.

I want to get closer to Allah.

I started wearing the hijab eight years ago as a teenager. My inspiration was my aunty who passed away in a car accident when I was 7 years old. She was one of the few people wearing hijab in the 90's and she was a brilliant student. I loved her very much and growing up I always told everyone I wanted to be like her. She was so beautiful. She looked like an angel to me. RahimuhaAllah.

My dream is to travel the world. I would like to write travel diaries about the countries I visit and bridge the gap between the different cultures.

I want to provide a positive image of Muslim women,

inshaAllah and tackle the prejudice the media often portrays about us. But of course, this would need to be a collective effort, inshallah!"

I would like to thank @muslimduchess for sharing her story! MashaAllah such an inspiration for other Muslim women, I hope we can all collaborate in an effort to portray Islam positively, inshaAllah.
